Modern day darts heroes aren’t what they were. Admittedly Andy ‘trunk arms’ Fordham is still knocking about but he’s one of the last of a dying breed. We fondly remember the days when players used to be able to take a pint up to the ockey and sup it lovingly while directing a seemingly wayward arrow right into that treble 20 sweet spot. Ahh. In any case, darts players have now cleaned up their acts – in fact, give them a year or so and they’ll all be demanding we call them ‘athletes’ or some such.
Anyway, you can always recreate the great darts-playing scenes to the seventies and eighties. Like Steve ‘no thanks, I’ve just eaten’ Beaton taking the ockey with his array of gold jewellery and his ‘classic’ mullet.
Our mini electronic dartboard will allow you to get nutted on cheap lager while playing and not have to concern yourself with minor details like keeping score. Should your opponent fancy himself as a bit of an Eric Bristow (pre-debilitating hand-eye coordination problems), then you can always give them a handicap to sort the men from the boys.
