When the torch is shaken a magnet moves through a coil which generates electricity. The generated electricity is stored and used to power the super bright light LED when you turn it on.
So, all you do is give it a shake for 15-30 seconds, and it will provide up to 5 minutes of continuous bright light!

I always feel awkward recharging them, it seems like I’m masturbating… but this is the way to go, these damn torches eat batteries.

Does the induction coil still work when it’s turned on?
There is one problem with these torches… the capacitors in them are useless, they often stop working after a few days, or even hours.
I had one of these once, but it broke…the plastic walls of the flashlight body aren’t all that sturdy. A good backup flashlight, though.
Got one! Works great! Used it so much the case broke! Found a new one with rubber “springs” in the case. It works better and looks like it will last a long time. Looking for one with larger capacitors and two LEDs or more!
