License-free Digital Education Packages Available for First Time
For the first time schools can enjoy unlimited usage of their favorite software and games. Teacher’s Discovery Interactive has introduced License-free Digital Education Packages that eliminate the costly and cumbersome, inconsistent licensing rules schools face.
“Buy it once, use it forever,” said Julie Sikorski, Marketing Manager for Teacher’s Discovery Interactive. “Teacher’s Discovery has made it easy and affordable for school media specialists to distribute their favorite interactive games and software throughout their schools.”
License-free means that schools can purchase the software packages and use them throughout their school by as many teachers or students as needed. Software can be loaded on multiple computers in labs and classrooms; it just can’t be duplicated or shared with other schools. Multiple copies of each title are even provided at no extra cost to make it easy for teacher and student use.
Digital Education Packages include titles for the Middle School and High School classroom in English, Social Studies, Science, Spanish, French, and German. Specific titles include:
- English Baseball Games, which has four interactive games that cover topics like short stories, novels, poetry, idioms, and grammar
- Why War? PowerPoint(R) Series, 11 separate presentations for the history classroom that details the various wars
- iPeriodic, an interactive periodic table for every student in the school, and
- Spanish Electronic Dictionary, a digital English/Spanish pronunciation dictionary for language students.
The first ever 2009 Digital Education Yearbook includes 104 Digital Education Packages with a total of 169 pieces of software, 167 interactive games, 55 books on CD and 283 DVDs.
